System Requirements and Security
Nordea private ebanking can be used on any computer that satisfies the minimum system requirements.
Please ensure that the computer you use to run the application meet the following specifications:

Configuration
Nordea private ebanking is only developed to run on Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Your Internet browser settings can be defined in many ways. The application is designed to run with the default browser settings.
Java must be enabled, as the application is written in Java.
JavaScript must be enabled as Nordea private ebanking uses JavaScript.
Cookies must be accepted, as the application uses cookies.
Digital certificate
The application used to communicate with Nordea is signed with a digital certificate. Verisign, a company specializing in Internet security, has issued this digital certificate. By accepting this certificate, you have indicated your trust in Nordea Bank S.A.
Log in procedure
The username and password serve as a first control of user identity. The ActivCard Challenge/Response is a second control. The latter procedure is known as Challenge/Response Authentication. Should someone discover your username and password, your account will still be protected by the ActivCard control. If you suspect that your password has been compromised, please contact your Account Manager.
Communication encryption
As soon as you log into your Nordea Bank account with private ebanking, all communication between the system and yourself is encrypted to prevent it being seen by anyone else. This security measure ensures confidentiality of communication between you and the Bank.
The SSL encryption used by Nordea is one of several encryption methods available. It is not possible for anyone other than the communicating parties to understand the encrypted information.
This is why it is necessary to enable SSL encryption in your Internet browser options.
Security at Nordea
The security architecture at Nordea protects the sensitive information stored at the Bank. In addition, security is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This security architecture has been designed to conform to the highest standards in Internet banking.
