The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation enters into force on
25 May 2018
Keeping our clients data safe is nothing new to us. Protecting the information and
the personal data that our clients share with us has always been at the centre of
how we do banking; sharing information with us means that we can offer personalised
financial advice and services to our clients.
Over the past years, new technology has been playing an increasingly significant role
in our lives, including how our personal data and online habits are stored and used
by companies. This has created a need for updated rules to match the way personal
data can be used today.
The result is the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR. The new regulation will
come into force on 25 May 2018 and it determines how companies and organisations
